Russian forces killed one person and wounded 15 others, damaging infrastructure networks in Kyiv and Kharkiv as an international forum convened in Abu Dhabi. The strikes disrupted critical systems while representatives from multiple nations gathered to discuss peace.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko alerted residents that the capital faced a “massive enemy attack,” as infrastructure networks sustained damage. The bombardment targeted residential buildings and critical systems, causing casualties and widespread disruption. Infrastructure networks including heat and water were damaged across multiple districts.

Mayor Igor Terekhov reported that Kharkiv’s infrastructure networks were damaged by Iranian-manufactured Shahed drones. The drone strikes hit residential complexes and critical infrastructure, causing extensive damage to essential systems. The northeastern city’s infrastructure networks have been systematically targeted throughout the war.

Despite damaged infrastructure networks, an international forum convened in Abu Dhabi bringing together American, Russian, and Ukrainian representatives. The UAE foreign ministry stated the discussions represented “ongoing efforts to promote dialogue and identify political solutions to the crisis.” The international forum format demonstrated broad diplomatic engagement.

President Zelensky announced that peace proposals were “nearly ready” as the international forum continued. He proposed creating a free trade zone in eastern Ukraine under Kyiv’s control following his meeting with President Trump. President Putin met with Trump’s envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, as the international forum pursued comprehensive solutions.
