Despite these upcoming changes, the current year’s grape harvest will still operate under existing regulations. In addition to simplifying procedures for seasonal workers, Minister Spautz has also highlighted plans for more stringent regulation of platform work. The Luxembourg authorities are currently scrutinizing arrangements involving delivery couriers, which include concerns about possible bogus self-employment. There is a particular focus on ensuring that workers are not operating without proper employment or social-security coverage.
