INDIANAPOLIS—Carrier has introduced a comprehensive program to enhance indoor air quality in both residential and commercial settings, addressing the escalating impact of wildfire smoke across North America. The initiative is designed to mitigate health hazards from fine particulate matter, which is linked to exacerbated respiratory and cardiovascular conditions. Carrier advises property owners to implement three core interventions: upgrading HVAC systems with high-efficiency filtration, sealing structural vulnerabilities to prevent smoke ingress, and deploying portable air purifiers equipped with HEPA technology.
“Ensuring clean indoor air is a public health imperative,” stated Nick Arch, Vice President of Residential Solutions at Carrier. “Our advanced solutions are designed to support safe and resilient indoor spaces during wildfire emergencies.”
As part of its broader commitment to community welfare, Carrier has donated air purification units valued at $2.5 million to frontline workers and educational institutions in Los Angeles.
