Luxair has broadened its flight offerings by introducing new direct routes from Luxembourg to the cities of Helsinki and Edinburgh, enhancing travel connections to Northern Europe. These services commenced with the Helsinki flights on July 2, followed by the launch of the Edinburgh flights on July 3. Each route will be serviced twice a week, with Helsinki flights available on Mondays and Thursdays and Edinburgh flights on Mondays and Fridays.
The airline has noted that both Helsinki and Edinburgh have been highly requested by passengers in recent years, appealing to both business and leisure travelers due to the strong demand. This expansion is a component of Luxair’s larger growth strategy, which is also supported by ongoing updates to its fleet. The new routes to Helsinki and Edinburgh are part of a larger initiative that includes the introduction of nine new routes in 2026, eventually expanding the airline’s network to encompass 101 destinations.
By adding these routes, Luxair aims to bolster connectivity between Luxembourg and two of Europe’s major capitals, offering passengers more travel options and greater convenience. The airline anticipates that these services will facilitate better connections and meet the high demand for travel to these destinations.
These new flights are part of Luxair’s strategic plan to enhance its route network and provide more comprehensive service options to its customers. The airline’s growth strategy is evident in its continued efforts to expand its reach and improve connectivity across Europe, aligning with passenger needs and market demands.
