A chilling confession is waiting to be heard, but who will be the one to give it? The first teaser for Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery sets up a suspenseful search for a killer hiding within a church, where the sacrament of confession may be the key to solving the crime.
Daniel Craig returns as Benoit Blanc, investigating the “impossible” murder of a priest (Josh Brolin). The setting of a Catholic church introduces the powerful theme of confession, and the teaser hints that Blanc’s interrogations will be a secular of this rite, forcing sinners to reveal their darkest secrets.
The potential confessors are played by a stellar cast, including Glenn Close, Kerry Washington, and Mila Kunis, each of whom may be harboring a deadly secret. Blanc, with his probing intellect and new, more imposing look, is the perfect figure to extract such a confession.
After its premiere at TIFF, the film is now heading for a global release. The search for the confession begins when Wake Up Dead Man hits select theaters on November 26th, before its worldwide launch on Netflix on December 12th.
